Nestling in the north Hampshire countryside, roughly halfway between Basingstoke and Kingsclere, lies Ramsdell Recreation Ground – the home of Ramsdell Cricket Club for more than 80 years.
We are a true village Club with a desire to be at the heart of parish life. And, as a village Club, we take a pride in maintaining our square, preparing our pitches and looking after the outfield – all under the supervision of our long-serving groundsman Dave Simpson.
We currently run three summer teams – two of which play in the Hampshire Cricket League (Division 4N & Division 5NE) on Saturday afternoons from early May through to late August.
In addition, we field a midweek XI (which plays in the Guy Jewell Cup/Cyril Thompson Trophy competition) and a Sunday side – for a time known as ‘Whiteditch Rams’ following a mutually beneficial association with Whiteditch Wanderers – that boasts an attractive list of friendly fixtures. And we run indoor nets at the Dummer Cricket Centre in the build-up to each new campaign.
Above all, though, we pride ourselves on being a friendly Club and we would love to welcome you to the Recreation Ground this summer.
